Asians First generation (1996-2000) City was launched in 1996,designed solely for Asian markets,quickly responding to the growing needs for automobiles in Asian markets associated with economic growth in the region. Then for Asians, the second generation (2002-2008)City launched in 2002,(overall fourth generation City) was a major revolution over the previous model. It is at least the fifth generation of this car,whereas the first generation was launched in 1981. It feels great to see City now coming equipped with useful enhancements like ABS and a five speed auto transmission. It continues to reflect that Honda adds some real value in its new models instead of just adding stuff like a vanity mirror or a coin holder. And what does not feel great is that tail lights somehow seem to have been taken from BMW 3 series (E90). I am always surprised to see this City being referred to as “Third generation” City.
