The Swift released in Pakistan seems to have the same grill as the D’zire (which is, essentially, a sedan created by adding a boot to the Swift) sold here. The Swift, here, has a ‘honey-comb’ grill.

Here, in India, the Swift has 3 petrol variants and 2 diesel ones, with different accessories and features and, therefore, price-points.

The 1.3 litre diesel engine has been licensed from FIAT and the petrol one has recently been upgraded to a 1.2 litre K-series mill. The diesel has been brought out relatively recently and appears likely to out-sell the petrol variants very soon.

Over the 5 years that the car has been in the market, nearly 4,50,000 units have been sold.

Personally, I would like to see wider tyres on the car (which many buyers install later anyway), but that would obviously increase fuel consumption.

When I first learnt that Fortuner has finally landed in Pakistan, I said thank God now we won't be limited to just the used Surf. I expected Fortuner to be priced around 5m. But it was baffling to see it tagged at above 7m.

You are right, one person cannot run a blog with an adequate frequency. Time constraints are always there. As for the material to write about,now that the new models have arrived, I think you have got stuff to write about.So I expect more frequent updates now

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I alone find it hard to constantly write
about cars and more importantly, there was nothing exciting to write about
i.e. nothing new. Now it is different. With the four new introductions by
Toyota, in the shape of Avanza, Daihtusu's Terrios, Fortuner and Parado,
there are a total of 5 completely new cars in the Pakistani market, and in
just one month.
That is by all means, quite exciting for any car aficionado

Good to see this blog is still alive. It is after more than four months that I saw an update from here in my email today.

I am happy this car is without CNG. And that there is just one trim would also simplfy decisons.

But may be a million for a hatch back is kind of too much.
