South Korean Vehicle Manufacturer KIA Returning to Pakistan

For the car enthusiasts, we have a great news that the recent auto policy change has cleared all the hurdles in the path of new entrants of auto manufacturers. Dynamics of the market are changed and users are also looking for more value for the money they spend to buy a car. Since the Govt. has forcefully turned the tables against the monopoly of the three major manufacturers we are seeing new entries and returning of old players in Auto industry of Pakistan.

KIA, the South Korean manufacturer once assembling vehicles in Pakistan had left the market due to instability and weak auto policy, has announced it would start assembling cars in a joint venture with Karachi-listed Lucky Cement, part of the vast conglomerate Yunus Brothers Group. Below are three KIA cars spotted in Pakistan.

The Government now wish to increase competition in Auto industry to bring down the high prices of the vehicles by offering the generous import duties. This will also make the market competitive and buyers will get better features for the price they will pay. With the new auto policy it is expected that the per year sale of the cars in the country will also increase.
