The Daihatsu cuore is a car from the 90’s so it doesn’t feel like a modern car at all. It was built to be basic and cheap and it sure is basic, but cheap…I don’t think so.
Even the engineers at the daihatsu dealership admit that this car has some design faults which can’t be fixed especially some clutch related issues. Apart from that it is very reliable and easy to maintain and it’s always welcome in the second hand car market.

Suzuki Mehran
Verdict:
Cuore is not a bad car but you can get a much better car in the same budget.
I got this great little car for my father because I believed that due to its smaller size and automatic transmission, this car would be easier for him to drive than his Khyber, In 2004, it was priced at 465,000 but still seemed overpriced to me (current figure of 649,000 seems absolutely preposterous to me). But I chose this car because of its better than Mehran workmanship and the fact that none other car in this segment offered automatic transmission at that time.
To include Vitz/Platz among Cuore’s rivals is not right. Vitz/Platz may be replaced with Santro in the list above.
@BTB
you are right, there weren’t any good options other than cuore a few years back that’s why i’ve got one
but i’m trying to make a point here by placing vitz, joy and alto in the rivals because I want people to know that they can buy a much better car than cuore in the same budget range.
A very well-composed post!
And a person I know is getting a new coure from the bank, he won’t agree to anything you’ve said except perhaps the price
I am using Coure since 2005. I love my car. Brilliant performance on CNG. I visited Islamabad / Murree number of time. I among my 3 friends used to go murree on CNG. Just want to say that pick up on CNG is awesome. And on petrol it is remarkable giving me average of 17 km. Netshell is I am very much satisfied with this Car.
yes this is good car for local rutes but not so good for long rutes.Coure is good becoz of its A/c Fuel consumption and smaller size forther more there is no new car in this proce range.

Asalaam Alaikum, Nice review…
We are very happy with our Coure. We have it since the last three years. It’s easy to maintain, can squeeze in smaller car spaces and parkings very comfortable to drive. We’ve traveled long distances as well and it have proved to be much better than khayber, alto or even other Toyota models.
Few cars just have one problem though. The seat of the second seater is quite uncomfortable so you’ll have to do some extra cushioning for you lower back.
That’s about it…
so you guys saying we can buy better car in same price range…….
plz mentions those cars with same price range

I have used Cuore 2004 with automatic transmission. I was happy with driving. There is no warning if I switch off my car with headlights on. So I had to call electrician twice due to this. Air conditioning is not very good on CNG and grip on the road is not very strong with high speed driving.
